The Abstract submission process is now closed.
Please review the following guidelines before completing the submission. A sample outline has been provided for reference. All fields are required except those that have been indicated by the word “optional” next to it. Missing or incomplete information may jeopardize the number or types of continuing education credits available to conference attendees.

- Presentation Title: Provide the title as it will appear in the conference program. Please limit to 10 words or less.
- Topic Description: A brief 24 -30 word description of the presentation content. Describe the session in promotional terms for marketing/ promotional materials.
- Behavioral Objectives: Please provide three to five measurable objectives describing the knowledge, skills, and/or learning outcomes that complete the sentence, "At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will be able to..." Please click on the “Writing Objectives” link for assistance with writing objectives: Writing Objectives.
- Topic/Content Outline: Include the proposed presentation content in Roman Numeral outline format. The content outline is directly related to and supports the objectives. Label each outline section with the objective it supports. Include the number of minutes you plan to spend on each outline section. Please note that “welcome/introductions” cannot be counted in the contact hour calculations. Total presentation time for concurrent sessions = 90 minutes. If you would like your session to be awarded CERPs, please explicitly list all breastfeeding-based topics in your outline. Please feel free to expand upon the given fields in the content outline.
- Teaching Methods and Strategies for Adult Learning: List the methods, teacher/learning strategies, materials and resources to be used by speaker to cover each objective. Teaching methods include but are not limited to: lecture, panel discussion, role play, questions and answers, demonstrations, practice, specific audiovisuals, etc.
- Post-test Questions: Provide at least three questions in multiple choice or true/false format (with answers) directly related to the learning objectives. All questions must have only one correct answer. "All/None of the above" is not a permissible answer choice.
- Works Cited: You must provide a minimum of 5 and up to 10 references in your works cited. Include author, title, edition, publisher, publication date (journal and volume number where applicable) in the APA, 5th edition format. Please note: To be accepted, 75% of your sources must be from within the past five years.
- Preview your abstract by clicking on the “Preview” button above the “Title” field or below the “Works Cited” field.
Honorarium and Conference Registration: The conference planning committee will provide a $500 honorarium for a session speaker living beyond a 100-mile radius of the conference site to apply to travel, housing or registration fees, as well as a complimentary one-day registration for the day she/he is speaking. All speakers must complete a conference registration form and pay appropriate registration fees if attending sessions or functions on days other than their speaking day. Speakers within a 100-mile radius will receive a complimentary registration to the conference; all other expenses are the responsibility of the speaker. Multiple speakers for sessions will share the honorarium or complimentary registration.
