2010 Call for Abstracts

September 30 – October 3, 2010
Midwest Airlines Convention Center
Milwaukee, WI

The Abstract submission Process is now closed.

Lamaze International and The International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) invites childbirth educators, midwives, nurses, doulas, administrators, doctors, physical therapists, birth advocates, social workers, authors, researchers and lactation consultants to share their expertise by submitting a proposal for an abstract and/or poster presentation at the 50th Anniversary Mega Conference.

Proposals are being accepted for concurrent session presentations (1 1/2 hours in length) related to childbirth and perinatal education and research abstracts and poster presentations of completed research, research in progress or new program design and implementation. Please review the submission guidelines by clicking on the following links prior to logging into the online submission tool.

Selection Process: Each abstract is initially reviewed and ranked by conference planning committee. Unfortunately, there are always more positively ranked abstracts than there are slots available. Those with the highest ranking are selected. The conference committee appreciates the time and energy that all submitters put into the development of their session proposal.

Please note: All abstracts must be submitted online using the Online Abstract Submission Tool. Incomplete and late submissions may jeopardize consideration of your proposal. Review the submission guidelines page prior to logging into the online submission tool.

All primary submitters will be notified regarding acceptance no later than March 31, 2010. The committee may recommend that some submissions be presented in poster format for evaluation in that category.

Please contact speakers@futureofbirthconference.org or 800-368-4404 with any questions.
